Problem - Residual pesticides in soil and groundwater
Solution – Installed
deep-planted hybrid poplar trees (as deep as14-feet) into
thermally treated soils to address residual lindane using
phytoextraction and co-metabolic processes. Installed hybrid
poplars in trenches to intercept groundwater potentially
contaminated with lindane to protect nearby surface water.
